National Security

National Security threats are real both at home and abroad. As a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and a U.S. Army veteran, John understands the need for a strong, well-funded military. Finally, after years of unacceptable policies from the previous administration, President Trump is sending our troops the resources they need and increasing their pay. John stands with President Trump, and knows the importance of ensuring our military has the funding necessary to handle the numerous threats the U.S. faces at home and abroad.

Overseas, the U.S. still faces many threats abroad due to the previous administration’s missteps and inactions. John supports President Trump’s decision to withdraw from Obama’s dangerous Iran deal, which emboldened the world’s biggest state of terrorism. America needs a more robust and aggressive strategy to defeat Islamist radicals.

At home, John believes we must take a more aggressive approach to illegal immigration. He has voted numerous times to build a fence along our southern border and has supported deploying the National Guard troops to our borders when necessary in order to keep our homeland safe. Halting illegal immigration by strengthening our borders and ports, as well as effectively addressing individuals who overstay their visas is one of John’s top priorities.
