John supports a diversified, all-of-the-above energy strategy. John supports developing energy at home to create jobs, reduce costs for businesses and families, and reduce our reliance on unstable foreign regions.
As a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, John is a strong advocate for Illinois’ oil, coal and agricultural products. He has supported expanding our country’s own resources through fracking, offshore drilling, and drilling in ANWR. He has been a proponent of the Keystone XL pipeline project, which would create thousands of U.S. jobs and deliver almost 1 million barrels of oil per day.
John is also on the front lines fighting the EPA’s endless and burdensome regulations on our nation’s power plants, which would send energy bills for American families skyrocketing if enacted.
