John supports a diversified, all-of-the-above energy strategy. By focusing on energy we can develop at home, we can create jobs, keep costs low for businesses and families, and reduce our reliance on unstable energy producing regions.
As a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, John is focused on promoting Illinois’ resources of oil, coal and agricultural products. He has supported expanding our country’s own resources through fracking, off-shore drilling, and drilling in ANWR. He has been a proponent of the Keystone XL pipeline project that would create thousands of U.S. jobs as well as delivering almost 1 million barrels of oil per day.
As a member of the Committee, John is also on the front lines fighting the EPA’s endless and burdensome regulations on our nation’s power plants, which if enacted would result in skyrocketing energy bills for the families of America.
